1. Introduction
Welcome to DuoDivvy. By downloading, accessing, or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
DuoDivvy is a financial productivity tool designed to help couples manage their shared finances. The App allows users to input income data, expenses, and distribution keys to calculate a dashboard showing individual contributions and savings.
3. User Accounts
To use the App, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
• Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.
• Data: Your data is stored securely in the cloud (using Google Firebase) to allow access across devices.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
A. Free Trial
Upon creating an account, you are granted a one-week (7 days) free trial. During this period, you have full access to all features, including inputting and editing financial data.
B. Read-Only Mode (Post-Trial)
After the free trial expires, if you do not purchase a subscription, your account will revert to a "Read-Only" mode.
• In this mode, you cannot add or edit any income or expense data.
• You can still view your dashboard based on the data entered previously.
C. Premium Subscription
To regain full access (editing capabilities) after the trial, you must purchase an annual subscription.
• Price: The subscription fee is €2.99 per year (or the equivalent in your local currency at the point of time).
• Billing: Payments are processed directly through your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account. We do not store your credit card details.
• Auto-Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew each year unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your account settings.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We cannot directly issue refunds.
5. Disclaimer: Not Financial Advice
Important: The App is intended for informational and organizational purposes only.
• The calculations provided by the application are based entirely on the data you input.
• The App does not provide professional financial, legal, or tax advice.
• We are not responsible for any disputes, disagreements, or financial losses arising from the use of this App or the reliance on its calculations. You and your partner remain solely responsible for your financial decisions and agreements.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its original content, features, and functionality (code, design, graphics), is and will remain the exclusive property of DuoDivvy. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
• Use the App for any illegal purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App.
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DuoDivvy be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes within the App. By continuing to access or use the App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
